At the direction of Prof. Najib Al Khaja Secretary-General's Award, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences in good initiative for cooperation between the award and the Al Maktoum Foundation, Representative of the two institutions delegation visited Sheikha Maitha girl Rashid Al Maktoum Center for Special Needs in Hatta.
Dr. Najib Al Khaja said that the award and the Al Maktoum Foundation are working together through an integrated system supported by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, which pays special attention in order to help all sectors of society.
He added that the visit aims to discuss vital cooperation between the award and the center said, which will be translated into reality in the near future through medical accurate diagnosis for children with and also by holding training courses and take public lectures directed to the population in Hatta and its neighboring areas in order to raise Mnstoy awareness about the serious impact of genetic disorders and the importance of an examination before marriage and newborn screening to reduce the spread of these disorders that have been causing a negative impact on certain individuals and society.
The HE Mohammed Obaid Bin Ghannam, Secretary General of the Al Maktoum Foundation, visit and said that he welcomes all forms of cooperation between the institution and the award in order to assist persons with disabilities in the United Arab Emirates who need all forms of support to alleviate their suffering and the suffering of their families. He added that it is possible to benefit from the vast experience of the Year Award in the field of genetic disorders through the efforts made by the Centre for Arab Genomic Studies.
The delegation included Mr. "Abdullah bin Souqat" Executive Director of the award, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, and Dr. "Ghazi destruction," Assistant Director of the Centre for Arab Genomic Studies offshoot of the award, Dr. "Gazali" featuring Professor of Genetics Clinical Sciences in the Department of childhood diseases at the Faculty of Medicine, UAE University and a member of the executive body of the Arab Center for genetic studies, and also Mrs. "banana war" delegation included responsible Personnel Authority Al Maktoum Charity. He said the delegation met with Mr. "Hisham Damarja" administrative officer of the Centre for Acting.
The Sheikha Maitha girl Rashid Al Maktoum Center for Special Needs only center that provides services to the city of Hatta and neighboring regions to help disabled children. The center is a large two-story building was designed specifically for the care and rehabilitation of people with special needs. Center serves about 53 disabled children of different nationalities.

The center provides care, education and treatment services for various types of disabilities, including deaf and dumb, mental retardation, quadriplegia and Down syndrome cases simple and severe retardation in children.

Dr. Ghazi destruction, assistant director of the Centre for Arab Genomic Studies also noted that the center has paid special attention since its inception to provide genetic information for all members of the community and raise awareness of their genetic diseases by holding seminars, conferences and publications in this regard.
Mr. Hisham Damarja Acting Administrator of the Center Sheikha Maitha girl Rashid Al Maktoum for people with special needs and welcomed the visit, describing it as a productive step and integrates well with the educational goals of the center.
