Description

The IL10RA gene codes for the alpha subunit of the interluekin 10 receptor. It mediates the anti-inflammatory propertiy of interleukin 10 through activation of JAK1 and TYK2 kinases.

Mutations in this gene are known to cause a form of inflammatory bowel disease, IBD28.
