Description

Similar to other members of the WNT family, the WNT10A gene encodes a protein involved in the canonical Wnt/beta-catenin signalling pathway. The WNT10A protein plays a key role during fetal growth and is involved in the development of the ectoderm. Hence it affects the growth of the tissues that arise from the ectoderm, in particular the teeth, hair follicles, skin and sebaceous glands.
